Furnishing a home is one of my favorite parts of the design process. It’s the stage where your personality truly comes to life through textures, colors, and unique pieces that make a house feel like home. Whether I’m wandering through Red Bank or clicking “add to cart” online, I’ve found a few go-to spots that never disappoint.
Platypus: Red Bank
Platypus is a local gem that I can’t get enough of. It’s the kind of place you wander into and instantly want to stay a while. They carry a little bit of everything, from cozy upholstered goods to those perfectly styled coffee table books that make a living room feel complete. I love that I can find pieces here that are both functional and fun. Think of it as a one-stop shop for mixing practicality with style.
Nest: Red Bank
Nest is where curated design dreams come true. Nest has put together a collection that feels personal, intentional, and absolutely gorgeous. Beyond the chic furniture and beautiful accessories, there’s an in-house interior designer ready to help you pull it all together. Whether you’re redoing an entire room or simply need the right accessories to finish a space, Nest has everything you need to make your home stand out. Pro tip: Nest always seems to have the best selection of accessories that add personality to any room.
Mopio: Online
For cased goods like armoires, buffets, hutches, and cabinets, I head straight to Mopio. Shopping online here is a dream, especially if you love pieces that are both stylish and affordable. The price point is fantastic, and while the furniture does require some assembly, the instructions are clear and easy to follow. I’ve put together a few Mopio pieces myself, and not only did they look amazing, but the process was straightforward (and maybe even a little fun).
Ruggable: Online
Rugs can completely transform a room, and Ruggable makes it easy to take the plunge without the stress of spills or stains. Their rugs are washable, which means they’re both practical and beautiful. I love that I can throw a rug in the wash after a messy dinner or busy week with kids and pets, and it comes out looking brand new.
